Eye Conditions - Cataracts

The human eye contains a lens to help focus light. As part of normal ageing, this lens becomes less clear to look through over time. Exposure to sunlight and conditions such as diabetes and smoking can speed up this process. Cataracts can reduce a persons ability to see small detail and to cope with glare. When cataracts restrict a person from performing well in their environment, it is possible to have them removed surgically.
